From temples and trash to beautiful greeting cards
It's hard to believe, with these beautiful cards is another eco-friendly gem from the OOhh Collection. The Lotus cards are a mix of OOhh's own Zero Waste paper and discarded Lotus flowers from the local temples in Sri Lanka.
In Sri Lanka, the temples receive flowers from the locals to show their devotion, respect and spirituality. After 3-4 days these flowers are normally thrown away, but OOhh Collection saw an eco-friendly value in reusing these and has therefore entered into an agreement with some of the local temples to take the discarded flowers and is now using them to produce the beautiful OOhh Lotus paper.
The Lotus paper has a beautiful natural appearance with yellow and brown shades from the flowers and has the perfect expression for beautiful greeting cards. Use the cards for everything from birthdays, a bouquet of flowers, to wedding invitations and more. The cards help make that greeting more personal and unique. On the back there is a brown paper, so you can easily write a greeting to a loved one.
Each pack contains 20 cards. By choosing one of OOhh's zero waste greeting cards, you are helping to take care of the planet at the same time and you are supporting the women in OOhh's women's project in Sri Lanka. A project that OOhh has worked with since 2010 and which is an important source of income, but also a social part of the women's everyday life.
OOhh's Zero Waste paper is a new generation of recycled paper, where we internally convert our own surplus paper into new paper and thus save 20,000 kg of waste per year. Zero Waste paper is a fantastic example of the green development of the future, where own residual waste is used internally.
